What If Parallel Universes Are Real?

If there is such a thing as parallel universes, then this puts a whole new perspective, not only on the potential for alternative realities, but how the evolution of consciousness might fit in. According to science, information is always conserved within this universe. Therefore, if this memory extends to a multiverse, who knows what this might mean in terms of the memory of the information that is consciousness? Could consciousness transmigrate to other dimensions of reality?
