Substitute the name God for the concept of "The Infinite" and this changes the argument in my view. The universe seems to have risen bottom-up out of nothing. But what if it cannot unfold without being unfolded? What if there is a top-down element to nature too? The Universe has arisen out of nothing somehow, so what if the source of the universe is the polar opposite of nothing? If true, can we really dismiss the notion that not only is this side the source of everything; but is everything? This sounds very similar to the argument that God is omnipresent.
